Oddly enough, I had two dreams last night that somehow flowed together ... well? Decently? I dunno, but they flowed as dreams do.
#1
I was in one of my high school science classrooms and Zooey Deschanel was at the front of the classroom, either with the teacher ... or she was the teacher. The class was working on a lab and we all asked her if she could sing for us. With some coaxing, she started singing 'Sing'. Coincidentally, 'Sing' was on my iPod queue this morning when it was trying to wake me up. Anyways, Zooey finished singing and the class dismissed. On my way out, I asked two classmates what the homework assignment was, just for clarification.
#2
I was looking at the pre-prepared sandwiches and such in the food court and I noticed that the position of the soup pots was different, two on either side of the sandwich carrel. Courtney, one of the other interns at my internship, came up and started ladling soup (chicken noodle, I believe it was) out of one of the pots. It wasn't looking like chicken soup, as there were black beans in it. It might've been mislabeled, but she was looking a little disgusted to start. I believe I went over to another soup pot and got myself some soup and went off on my merry way.
Until next dream!

Dream Journal #6: Dorms, Doctor Who, Danielle, and Radio
The first thing I remember was being moved out of the apartment to another dorm for some reason, perhaps because there was room in another apartment-style living community. The move went smoothly and the new roommate seemed nice.
I was then on the Peace Quad with a piece of chalk, writing "The angels have it" on the walkway outside the Union, it being the TARDIS. I started walking down the path parallel to the Union. Danielle caught up with me and we walked into the Union, near the package pick-up and we found ourselves in the radio station, holding hands and saying hi to everyone. I looked at the clock and realized that it was Friday and past 1 in the afternoon and I had missed my show. I rushed back towards the control room and started blubbering to the GM and the head of Public Affairs about how I was in the middle of moving and totally didn't realize that it was Friday. They just looked at me, laughed, and went back to sorting files or whatever it was they were doing.

Dream Journal #5: Evelyn Evelyn Concert and Neil Gaiman in my Bathroom?!
Hrm ... I haven't done one of these in a while. ANYWAY ...
***
The dream started with me sitting on the side of the stage of a large concert hall with Evelyn Evelyn performing "My Space" on the stage. The keyboard was right beside me and the twins separated to play the song ... or so I can recall. It was a tad weird. But I was basically on the edge of the stage and my friend Sam was sitting in the front row on the far left.
The concert ended and the concert hall cleared. Sam and I were still hanging around near the stage. I learned that earlier in the evening, Neil. Yes, that Neil. Neil Gaiman ... duh. What other Neil would take part in an Evelyn Evelyn concert? Sam was flipping through Stories, I believe, when I asked him what Neil had read a bit from. I thought it might've been some of "The Truth is a Cave in the Black Mountains". According to Sam, he had read an excerpt from a short story about ... a coffee shop, I think? I'm a little unsure.
The next thing I know, Neil is in the main hallway of my house with two female fans who are getting scribbles. After they are done, I asked Neil if he could sign my copy of Sandman: Dream Hunters, along with the two Batman comics he did. He did and proceeded to write a little note of some sort.
I'm then out on the little front porch we (my family and I) have, removing a small hanging planter of roses that wilt as they get closer to the concrete floor of the porch.
***
Notes:
- "My Space" by Evelyn Evelyn played in full on my iPod before I woke up to "I Live With You" by Grizzly Bear. And Evelyn Evelyn was playing "My Space" in my dream. ... I should get a totem.
- This post was written while listening to the new Belle and Sebastian album streaming on NPR. You should check it out.

Dream Journal #4: College, Demonstrations, Olbermann, and Kidnappers
Well ... it's clearly been a while since a non-photo post ... or an exercise post (expect one of those in the next few days) ... so ... I had a jumble of dreams last night. Hope you find them interesting!
***
I believe the dream started off with me driving up to college ... or arriving at college. I was sitting in a lecture hall type room with my friend Sam (I think it was Sam) and a bunch of other people when I realized "Crap! I don't have any of my stuff up! And classes start tomorrow!" I then panicked ... and somehow found my way into an on-campus apartment of sorts with a guy who had the original Battlestar Galactica on DVD in a commemorative case that looked like Adama's helmet from the original series.
Then, the dream cut to a nail being hammered into the ground in a public place. Oil was coming up from the hole. And then agents of sorts drove up and the people who were with me at the protest/demonstration ran up to their vehicles and started yelling about the Constitution being real or something like that ...
And that was followed by me following Keith Olbermann down a long marble staircase. I got his attention, shook his hand, and started babbling with "I'm such a big fan ..." He had to go film or rehearse something ... a bit of a film/short film ... I'm not sure ...
And finally, I got out of a parked car that had two or three younger siblings by a river bank. I walked through the foliage with a sibling of the same age as myself to find other people doing the same ... and kidnappers tying up children. We ran back to the car, got our siblings out, and jumped into the river to swim away. I got out on the other side of the river, a little ways down, near a hardware store (I think) and started looking for a convenience store or something like that. I stumbled into a music store and found a TV playing a clip from an action movie that looked familiar.
The rest was a few quick cuts, one of them being either a picture or comment on Dailybooth by Danielle.
***
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'd like to see if I can get Andrew Bird's "Oh No" out of my head. The same snippet has been playing for a while ...
Allons-y!

Dream Journal #3: Evelyn Evelyn
A quick note before we start: I had this dream between Friday night and Saturday mornings and I've been putting off posting it. But now is probably the best time, as I'm going to the concert tomorrow and all ... ANYWAY!
***
I'm rushing around my house, pulling things together before leaving for the Evelyn Evelyn concert, since I had just looked at the clock. These things include my Neil Gaiman comics (in case he makes a surprise appearance) and my laptop and my two video recorders (my Flip and my JVC) (in the event that I'm selected to NinjaView Amanda and Jason). I head out the door, after bidding my grandparents who are visiting for a bit goodbye.
Then, I'm walking down a sidewalk in NYC with my equipment and such. I come to a park-like area with benches in a C-shaped orientation. Seated at one area of benches are Chuck, Robyn, and Erica. They all start to get up as I approach. I notice that Chuck seems taller, so I mention it to him and say that it could be because I'm wearing my red Chuck Taylor's. Erica looks different. (I think she had red hair in the dream.) And I'm in awe of Robyn's accent. She compliments me on my yellow Amanda Palmer shirt, which I appear to be wearing.
***
A few concluding notes:
- Chuck is tall, but not as tall as he was in the dream. It's like he grew a few inches.
- I don't have an Amanda Palmer shirt.

BEDA 9: Nerdfighter Dreams
So ... as regular readers, you haven't seen a dream post in a while, so I decided to make today's BEDA about my most recent dream.
So, the beginning of the dream is a little fuzzy. I was at a bookstore or a shopping mall or something like that and I was leaving with some friends. I went up to their car window and knocked, asking if I could get a ride. They said "Sure," and we went on our way.
We were passing through a forest or wood or forest-y area of sorts when I requested that we stop so I could go my way. The driver started to slow down, but before the car was fully stopped, I had unbuckled and started to open the door. She reminded me to wait to get out until the car was fully stopped. I got out and fixed a really odd and unusual seatbelt problem: the belt got tangled around the outside of the car. Then, I departed through the forest.
The next thing I know, I'm climbing up a staircase in a near a small strip mall. I could hear the voices of John Green and David Levithan as I was getting closer. I was befuddled. "What are John Green and David Levithan doing here?!" I got to street level and there they were, about to enter a restaurant, Frenchie's, I believe. I said "Hi!" in an ecstatic fanboy-type way. They both said "Hi" back. I then proceeded to mull over my three options out loud to John and David. "Okay, I could just walk away and find some place else to eat. Or, if you don't mind my imposing, could I join you guys? Or would you mind if I perhaps ran back to my place where I have my pre-signed copy of Will Grayson, Will Grayson to have you guys sign it in the flesh?" They didn't object, but then another Nerdfighter friend showed up, more or less went through the same phase as me, and we proceeded to ring up a few other Nerdfighter friends.
Until tomorrow, Nerdfighters! DFTBA and allons-y, Alonso!

Dream Journal #2: The Comedy Troupe
I know that I haven't done one of these posts in a while, but I decided "Hey, I'm up, so why not?" And one of my friends is also keeping track of her dreams to improve her chances of lucid dreaming, so ... I might as well give it a shot.
****
So, I woke up to receive a call from Jon, one of the members of the campus's comedy troupe. He told me ecstatically that I had made the group. I told him "I didn't try out, so how could I have made it in?" He replied that they had all talked it over after not seeing me at auditions. The rest of the call was either garbled or I was too tired (in the dream) to understand what he was saying about the next meeting and all.
Cut to a dorm room, similar to my own where the members of the troupe are meeting. I popped onto the bed and one or two of the members groaned, as if to say "Why/how is he a member?!" One or two other members entered the room with the same expression on their faces.
Cut to a hilly area, where the members of the troupe and I are standing. One person is sledding down at a time to get weather readings or something like that from the bottom of the hill. (Don't ask. I don't know either.) I went down and I met Seth, an acquaintance of high school and a current classmate. He was checking readings. I didn't check anything. We both brought up the sled and some of the weather equipment to the top of the hill.
****
And that's that. Anyone good at picking apart dreams?
Speaking of sleep ... you should really check out Sleep Talkin' Man.
And this cover of Doctor Worm couldn't hurt either.
Until next time. Allons-y, Alonso!

Dream Journal #1: Luggage and Penn Jillette
So, I had this dream last night. Not sure what it means, but if you have any ideas, I'd greatly appreciate it.
I got in the open trunk of a hatchback with other teens who I knew. We were working on learning lines for a play of some sort. I was handed a folder with contact info and information on the show. For some reason, the person who assembled the contact info hadn’t gotten my cell phone and e-mail address, but they did have my hotel room number on the sheet.
We got to the hotel were we were staying at and our luggage was either brought to our rooms or we brought it up ourselves. If the latter occurred, I don’t remember bringing mine up, though. I took the stairs up to the 3rd floor. No clue why I didn’t take the elevator. I was in room 333. Anna was in room 331. (One person per room? What?!) I got up to the 3rd floor, heard a disturbance of some kind the floor below involved throwing frogs or something, so I went down to check. Then, I proceeded down to the lobby, where everyone was gathering. The female chaperone said that they’d give people a little time to chill and change before grabbing drinks (for those who were old enough) and dinner.
Then, I somehow was at my uncle’s house, but it was way more extravagant and mansion-like than their house currently is. I was there with my parents, but my brother was nowhere to be found. My grandparents were there as well. My uncle was bringing someone to dinner. I forgot what hint he gave as to the person’s identity. He brought the person back from the airport or wherever they were and rang the bell. It was Penn Jillette. I shook his hand and mentioned that I’d seen him on Countdown or Real Time recently. He said “Probably.” He mentioned that he’d seen me in some action flick recently, which I knew nothing about. He pulled out a small thin camcorder with a fold-out screen. I don’t remember what he said to it, but he said something and angled it so we were both in the frame. I said, “’allo!” Then, I noticed Tom Milsom, or someone who looked like a British Youtuber, walking by with his CDs to be sold. I signaled a scribble, as in, I wanted his signature on a limited edition CD collection thing that I had bought earlier from him (not sure how that fit into the dream). He shook his head and kept walking into the house. Penn noticed my signaling and took out a pen and signed the bottom of the box with my name, with my signature style. We went into the house, and I looked for him, but he wasn’t there.
The family and I and Penn all were inside getting ready for dinner. I went to go change, passing the room of one of my two cousins. She and two of her friends were watching TV or a movie. I went to either a guest room or my younger cousin’s room to change. I got on a pair of boxers and realized that my luggage was in the car. I wrapped myself in a towel and walked to the kitchen to ask my parents to get the luggage from the car. I heard the car starting, but nobody from the dinner party was missing. I ran outside in boxers and a towel. My mom yelled something along the lines of, “Where are your clothes? Get back inside!” I yelled, as I ran after the SVU, “THEY HAVE MY FUCKING LUGGAGE!”
And then I woke up.
So? Does it have something to do with giving up materials goods? I'm just guessing.

Dreams
Dreams are weird things. Surrealist, almost. And I had a really odd dream last night. Well, let me put it this way: I've had a few odd dreams over the past few week or so. Here are two that I can somewhat remember.
1) I was in a lounge room of sorts (or something like it) with two people. I don't remember who the male was, but the female was Tessa (a.k.a. Meekakitty). She was back in the States after a few months in Thailand for modeling. She was talking about starting college classes.
Or something like that.
2) I (in my present state, and by that I mean same age, but regular clothes, not pajamas) was sitting in a middle school or high school classroom. Neil Gaiman (neilhimself on Twitter and Youtube) was a guest speaker in the classroom and was talking about one of his works, or something like that. The specific details elude me. He finished speaking and began to walk out. I gathered my Gaiman stuff (a book or two of his) and followed him out, hoping to briefly speak to him and maybe get an autograph. I'm following him out into the parking lot. While I'm following him, a few people I knew in high school appeared and said hi to Neil before walking off. I was almost at Neil's side, when he suddenly faded away, while walking, mind you.
Now, I don't analyze my dreams. I don't have other people analyze my dreams. I don't believe in the Freudian aspects of analyzing dreams.
So don't ask me what they mean.
I just dream them.
