Bye-bye, Braces!!

My teeth have been freed from the cold, metallic grasps of my orthodontist's braces, which I've had for 6 to 8 years, nearly 1/2 my life. I had my teeth brushed w/ industrial-strength toothpaste (looked like sand). Now, they're really "pearly white". I'll try to take and post a picture later of them.

The Who = WOW!!

Let me just say this: The Who concert was absolutly amazing!! They knocked me off my feet with the way they played. I'm reviewing the concert for my school paper, so when I finish the review, I'll post it hear. And also, I'm seeing Eric Clapton next Friday. Even more to write about.

I'm Okay!

So far, I've had 8 days of school and I haven't snapped yet. Got two tests coming up (AP American and AP Psych), two quizzes (Spanish and English). I'm also seeing The Who in 2 days!! Awesome! Hopefully, I won't get any hearing damage :) Getting back on the House addiction path. First two episodes were great. Next one should be awesome w/ Joel Grey.

Summer Work (Kill Me Now, God!!!)

Summer work, the reason why students are frazzled on the first day of school. I just discovered that my mom somehow got me into AP American History and I can't get out. There are a total of 44 questions that I have to answer, about a paragraph each, and for 18 questions, I need a book that I don't even have. I have a week to do the questions (school starts on the 6th, and I don't want to be still doing summer work at 6 in the morning), and I still have some AP Chem studying/review to do, and I still have to finish summer reading stuff (finish 1 book and review another)!!!!!!!!!!!

God, if you're there: either help me or kill me now!!!!!!!!

Tennis with my Brother

Boy do I love tennis, especially when my brother gets so pissed that he charges me with his racquet in an attempt to kill me.  I also love it when he tries to imitate John McEnroe by smashing his racquet on the ground and yelling at every shot that he thinks is out or in, etc.  I just love my little brother.  Don't you?

Apollo, Alvar, and Lost

Today marks the first day of Apollo Candy distributing their chocolate in the United States. Even though it is a fictional company, it deals directly with the Lost Experience and Alvar Hanso, a shadowy fictional executive of The Hanso Foundation, a fictional company that is part of the show Lost and is also part of The Lost Experience.
I have a contact who will be attending a distribution on Friday in D.C. Hope things work out as I have planned.

Stolen

Bad news. My backpack was stolen from my room two nights ago between 9 and 11 PM. No idea who took it or why, but in it was my camera with film, two notebooks, my pencil case, a paperback book I was reading, along with my College writing readings and assignments. It really sucks. I don't know if it's someone's idea of a cruel practical joke or what, but it really pisses me off.
At least I have some things to look forward to. I'm seeing The Who and Eric Clapton in September. Who's lucky? Me.

The Horse Stalker

I was stalked by a horse today. Seriously!! Why does nobody believe me? Grr... It was a police horse and it might have been stalking me because I was carrying a melting ice cream cone (chocolate chip cookie dough). My hands were extremely sticky afterwards. Now, I'll wear gloves when I'm eating ice cream (latex). And not latex flavored ice cream, but latex gloves (Bleh!).

I'm in the Middle

I feel so happy and yet sad at the same time, so I guess I'm somewhere in the middle. Let me explain. I'm a member of a Stephen King group on Yahoo Groups and there were a few contests to win tickets to an advanced screening of Nightmares and Dreamscapes on Saturday in NYC ad I entered on a whim, thinking that I wouldn't be picked. Well, lo and behold, I checked my Yahoo mail today and discovered that I had won tickets. But since I can't go since I'm at camp, I responded the person who contacted me and explained the situation and asked if he could give the tickets to another person. So there you have it. Anything else?

School's Out! ... Then Back In

Well, my summer can't be any better than it is. I'm at an educational/learning camp thing at a U.S. college. Subjects: College Writing and Improv Comedy. Life is good, my friend. Pirates 2 is out this Friday. Can't see it...grr. I have another friend who would really like to see it, but she can't because she's away at the minute. Belated birthday shout-out to her (You know who you are)! Later.

Shedding

Ahhh! I'm shedding! JK. :) Haircut. Doesn't look too bad. BTW, I got an 87 on that Physics Regents. No idea how, but I'm going over it. More later. Bye bye.

First blog entry... wow! I'm speechless. Naw, kidding.

School's officially over for me as of yesterday. Physics Regents and I'm OUT!! Got a long summer (ha ha) coming up: Yale for 3 weeks and after that it's summer reading and summer work. Shouldn't be that bad. More later.
