A winter's day in a deep and dark December ...

I'm sitting here,
late at night,
on my bed,
more or less,
freshly back from college.
It's snowing,
and it has been for ten or so hours.
It just keeps coming.
We have,
I'd guess,
2 or 3 inches
at the moment
on the deck.
We should reach eight
to ten by mid-day tomorrow
which is now today
because of the hour.
I felt in the mood for some
Simon and Garfunkel,
so I popped on "I am a Rock"
which will be followed by
"A Hazy Shade of Winter"
and then sleep.
Glorious sleep.
It is when I am
at peace.
No chores,
no pestering,
no worries.
Bliss.
Or peace.
It depends on your definition,
I guess.
It's all up to you.
Now,
if you'll excuse me,
my batteries,
they need recharging.
